Hi Sydney,

My Tailwind plan allows 25 tribes and 200 submissions a month. The first 5 pins rule no longer apply.
Pinterest made some changes in February of this year. You’re allowed to pin 15-25 times per day, and every new pin goes out to 10 boards max.

As for other people’s pins, I only pin 10% third-party pins. The rest are mind because I have enough posts/pins to go around. Hope that answers your question.

Do you still work within the 5 tribes and 30 re-shares provided for in the plus plan?

Another qn, when it comes pin distribution, I saw a Pinterest staff reveal that they prioritize distribution of the first 5 of the pins that you pin in a day. You would thus want the first 5 to be pins from your own site. Once you schedule all those pins and reshuffle them, do you ensure that the first 5 are your own site’s pins?

Wow, great easy to follow Pinterest tips here Virginia. I made commitment to take my Pinterest Strategy seriously early this year but only managed to implement it ten days ago with impressions growing steadily from 17K to 164K within ten days.

I attribute the growth to:

Creating more relevant boards and pinning at least 50 popular pins to each
Writing more compelling pin descriptions… I even used to leave them blank
Improving my pin designs
Writing more compelling pin titles
Pinterest SEOing my pins and boards descriptions

Nothing fancy about website traffic so far, but am quite hopeful and determined. We all get to start from somewhere, right? Thanks again for great insights
